Today you arrive in the town of Lao Cai, located just two kilometres from the border with China, where you will be met and transferred to the pretty mountain town of Sapa.

Today you embark on a trek through the minority villages within the area. En route you are treated to some stunning scenery.

DAY 7 Nghia Lo
Today you depart Sapa and drive south along one of the most scenic stretches of road in Asia to Mu Cang Chai. There will be ample opportunity to stop off en route before arriving at your simple homestay in Nghia Lo.

DAY 8 Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
This morning you depart Nghia Lo and journey on to Hanoi and the airport for your flight south to Dong Hoi. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the edge of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and your accommodation.

DAY 9 Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park
Today, you start the six-hour trek to Hang En, also known as Swallow Cave. The journey takes you through rural villages, rivers, and jungle to the endpoint and Hang En, the world’s third-largest known cave. Spend the afternoon exploring the cave network, and you will stay overnight in a tent.

DAY 10 Dong Hoi
This morning you will visit the Exit Cave before breakfast, then continue to explore the caves. You depart camp in the morning on the trek back to the main road. This afternoon you return to the coast for your accommodation where you can freshen up.

Leaving Dong Hoi you continue south with your driver to the old capital of Hue, arriving early afternoon. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Today you travel on to Hoi An, stopping en route at Bach Ma National Park to enjoy some great trekking.
